Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Before the football games, overeating and lively conversation around the table, many will take advantage of the near perfect weather for the annual Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade. If you go, the parade starts at 8:30 am at 20th Street and JFK Boulevard and ends around noon at the steps of the Art Museum. The best viewing spots are the steps of the Art Museum, Eakins Oval and Logan Circle.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and his wife Mary Pat along with congressman Jon Runyan spent today handing out Thanksgiving dinners to local victims of Superstorm Sandy. Boston Markets provided turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy and pie to Sandy victims at 22 Lowes Home Improvement Centers in the areas hit hardest. Since the storm, Governor Christie’s approval rating has jumped 19 points according to a Rutgers survey.

Philadelphia court employee William Rullo was sentenced to 33 months in prison for looting the court system of $433,000 over the last decade. Rullo is a 47 year old procurement officer with 22 years in the court system. He told the judge he has no drug, alcohol or gambling problem. He was stealing out of an addictive habit hoping it would never catch up with him.

Weather
Clear skies tonight. 34 in Philadelphia.
