A mother of three from Paulsboro, NJ, is filing suit against Conrail, Norfolk Southern Railway Company and CSX Transportation. She says she is experiencing breathing problems because of the November 30th chemical spill that released vinyl chloride into the air and necessitated residential evacuations that lasted for a week. The Plaintiff, Alice Breeman, claims that the defendants were negligent in inspecting the swing bridge over the Mantua Creek and for allowing the freight train to cross despite the red signal. Her attorney, Mitche Kaye says that the family suffered injuries following the train derailment including coughing and breathing problems, but a major concern is the future unknown. The lawsuit seeks $10 million in damages. Conrail says it will address the suit at an appropriate time, it is focused now on the NTSB investigation, cleaning up the derailment site, and getting people back to their homes.

A body was found in Ridley Creek State Park on Saturday. That body may be that of missing Delaware County woman Teresa Mastracola, 44, of Millbourne, who was last seen on December 3. Mastracola is a avid hiker and bicyclist who frequents Ridley Creek in Edgemont. Police found the body of a woman in a heavily wooded area of the park. They don't believe foul play was involved but an investigation is still ongoing. Police have not released the identity of the woman found. Police were specifically searching the park after Mastracola's disappearance. Mastracola is described as a white female, standing 5-foot-7, weighing 130 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing hospital scrubs; she works at Delaware County Memorial Hospital. She drives a silver, 2006 Mazda 6 sedan with a Pennsylvania license plate that reads DTA-5563 with a black bike rack attached. If you have any information on Mastracola's disappearance please call Millbourne Police at 610-352-1450.

UPDATE: Police have confirmed that the body of the woman found is that of missing Millbourne woman Teresa Mastracola. They are still asking for help locating her vehicle. SEE: Teresa Mastracola's Body Found in Ridley Creek State Park; Woman Missing From Millbourne Body Found

Walnut Street could remain closed for days after a water main break on Saturday shut down the busy Center City shopping district this holiday shopping weekend. The 12 inch water main burst at around 4 pm on Saturday and was shut down at 6 pm leaving 20 businesses and residents without water. Water was turned back on this morning. However the 1600 block of Walnut, between 16th and 17th will remain closed for the foreseeable future as the Philadelphia Water Department and PECO check the area for any damages the Streets Department repaves the road. The sidewalks are open as are all the stores including popular retailers such as Urban Outfitters, American Apparel and the Apple Store and restaurants Alma de Cuba and Brasserie Perrier.
