The Pope is now on Twitter. Pope Benedict XVI has joined hundreds of millions of followers and tweeters. The Pope already has almost 680,000 followers. His first tweet this morning read, “Dear friends, I am pleased to get in touch with you through Twitter. Thank you for your generous response. I bless all of you from my heart.” You can follow the Pope on Twitter, He is @Pontifex

The Mayor of Harrisburg was spoofed in a video shown at a Chamber of Commerce awards dinner, and some are labeling the video “tasteless, stupid and racist.” Mayor Linda Thompson, who is African American was portrayed in the video by a woman singing alternate lyrics to “We are the World” through an occasional stutter describing the city’s problems.

Residents of Paulsboro attended another meeting last night and many left frustrated because they did not get the answers they are hoping for. A panel of experts from Conrail, the Coast Guard and the Health Department tried their best to calm the frayed nerves of those who live closest to the site of the train derailment and chemical spill.
