A gunman and four people were shot today at a courthouse in Wilmington Delaware, the result of a bitter child custody dispute. The shooter is also dead. It all happened in the lobby of the courthouse where the gunman opened fire on two women killing both of them. Two law enforcement officers were also shot but protected by their bullet proof vests. Investigators are trying to determine if the shooter was killed by police or took his own life.

Vice President Joe Biden was in Philadelphia today meeting with regional law enforcement and elected officials today to discuss gun laws. Biden said that accumulated gun violence in America produces “a Sandy Hook-plus” of deaths every day. The vice president sees “zero conflict” between White House proposals for gun control and the Second Amendment.

The Principal and two teachers at Triton Regional High School in Runnemede pleaded guilty today in a sex scandal that broke in October. 32 year old teacher Jeff Logandro and 27 year old Dan Michielli were accused of improper sexual relationships with students. The principal, 55 year old Catherine DePaul had reason to believe the students had been victimized but did not report it. In a plea agreement, the three forfeited their right to hold any public job again, including as teachers.
