Revel Casino is only 10 months old and filing for bankruptcy. Since opening, the lavish Atlantic City gambling destination has finished near the bottom of the monthly revenue list for Atlantic City casinos. The Chapter 11 move is intended to give the casino breathing room as it reorganizes debt and continues operations without interruption.

A 90 year old woman was killed in the crossfire during a standoff in Warminster early this morning. The Jefferson on the Creek apartments on East Street Road was the site of a confrontation between police and 49 year old Andrew Cairns. Cairns was taken into custody after a firefight with police. The 90 year old woman lived in the unit directly below Cairns. She may have been hit by a police bullet during the exchange with Cairns. Bucks County District Attorney David Heckler identified the woman as today as Marie Zienkewicz. The DA's office will handle the investigation surrounding the shooting.

Mystery surrounds the man pulled from Wissahickon Creek on Saturday. This much is known: David Taundi was a 33 year old executive with Bank of America who also worked with the Alzheimer’s Association. On December 15th Taundi’s car hit a tree off Henry Avenue and burst into flames. Witnesses saw a man climb from the wreckage and walked away. Searches went on for two months and turned up nothing until he was found in the creek.
