Dave Matthews Band announces tourdates and opening acts; DMB play Philly June 28/29 w/ Mavis Staples

Dave Matthews Band has announced summer tour dates for 2013. The tour kicks off May 17th at The Cynthia Woods Pavilion in The Woodlands, TX. The bulk of the shows run May-July with a few weeks off in August, resuming with a West Coast swing including the traditional Labor Day run at The Gorge. There are two-night stands in Saratoga Springs, NY, Hartford, CT, Noblesville, IN, Wantagh, NY, Camden, NJ, East Troy, WI and West Palm Beach, FL. This year a wide variety of talented acts will share the stage in support of DMB on various dates, including moe., JD McPherson, The Head and the Heart, Brandi Carlile, Mavis Staples, Fitz and The Tantrums, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, O.A.R., Kool & the Gang, John Butler Trio and SOJA.

Dave Matthews Band will be coming through Philly, playing the Susquehanna Bank Arts Center along the Camden Waterfront on June 28th and 29th. The enduring and magnificent Mavis Staples will be on hand to open both shows in Camden. The R&B and gospel singer known for her solo work and with the family group The Staples Sisters will be a must see.

Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, March 22 at 10:00 AM
