The uproar over the Not Guilty verdict in the Officer Josie case continues. Yesterday, new criticism of Municipal Judge Patrick Dugan ignited when it was revealed the judge in the assault case is married to a Philadelphia Police Officer Nancy Farrell Dugan. Some believe this was enough reason for the judge to have recused himself from the case.

The stepfather of the first grader who carried a stolen handgun to school has been ordered to trial. The loaded gun was discovered by the boy when he reached into his backpack for his homework assignment at the Universal Daroff Charter School. The 7 year old boy’s stepfather, Tarron Wescott claims he got the gun from an unidentified man. Wescott will stand trial for receiving stolen goods and endangerment.

Visions of Spring will fill the air starting Saturday as the 184th Philadelphia Flower Show begins its 9 day run at the Convention Center. This year, it’s a British theme with displays that will transport you to a warm day in Central London with the look of old England architecture, Jack the Ripper streetscapes, country sides and cricket clubs.
