Spring is approaching quickly, and as we get closer to warm and sunny days concerts and shows become more prevalent and in season. Tonight a well anticipated show welcomes us to the new month of March. On tour promoting their sophomore record, Foxygen, plays a sold out show tonight at the First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia. We Are The 21st Century Ambassadors Of Peace And Magic is a journey back to the psychedelic-era of California in the late sixties. The band is also described as "the raw, de-Wes Andersonization of The Rolling Stones, Kinks, Velvets, Bowie, etc. that a whole mess of young people desperately need. They create a sometimes-impressionistic, sometimes-hyper-real portrait of sounds from specific places and times. Yet, it never comes across as anything but absolutely modern music."

Sporting fantastic song writing as well as stellar pop gems, New York's Foxygen meets critical acclaim on their most recent tour opening for record-label mates, Unknown Mortal Orchestra. The band has also announced they will be making an appearance at this year’s Firefly Music Festival held in Dover, Delaware in June. Foxygen will be playing a sold out show with Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Wampire tonight at 8:00PM at the First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia.

P.S. Eliot former member Katie Crutchfield releases her second album as Waxahatchee entitled, Cerulean Salt tonight at the Golden Tea House in Philadelphia. Crutchfield says the album "addresses teenage flux with seasoned songcraft." Songs are crafted about loneliness and becoming a young adult, in a creative way only Waxachatchee can deliver. Her last album, American Weekend, met with much praise leading Crutchfield to write for her upcoming release. Crutchfield’s twin sister Alison opens the show with her band Swearin', additionally the bassist's band Radiator Hospital has joined the playbill. It is for sure a night to remember in Philadelphia, with plenty of shows and events to attend. Waxachatchee plays tonight at the Golden Tea House, show starts at 7:30PM.
