Testimony continued today in the trial of abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell, charged with murdering 7 babies born alive. Today a 21 year old woman who was 17 at the time of her abortion, testified Gosnell did an ultrasound and told her she was 24 weeks pregnant, the legal maximum abortion term. However an employee testified the ultrasound showed the baby was actually over 29 weeks. An expert who reviewed photos told the grand jury the aborted baby was over 8 months.

It was a beautiful first day of Spring in Philadelphia lit by brilliant sunshine and comfortable temperatures. Franklin Square park opened for its seventh season and today’s activities included planting fresh flowers, riding the Liberty Park Carousel, playing miniature golf and romping on its two playgrounds. Square Burger officially opens on Saturday.

Freedom High School in Bethlehem has asked its student to cut back on the body spray. Apparently one of its students was hospitalized after exposure to Axe Body Spray. The school says the student had a severe reaction to the cologne and the students are being asked to stop using spray fragrances while investigators try to pinpoint the chemical that caused the reaction.

Weather
First night of Spring, Rain and snow showers possible. 31 in Center City.
