The ratings for the hit reality singing competition, "American Idol," are slowly decreasing. The numbers for the show are dropping in a fast pace. Even though the show has gotten new judges this season, which consists of: Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey, Ryan Seacrest, Nicki Minaj, and Keith Urban; the show is still going downhill. The beginning of the season during the audition round, the show was a hit with many viewers tuning in every week. Unfortunately, in recent studies the show has dropped down 50 percent from its premiere date. Last Thursday, the show lost their ratings and viewers with a downfall of 7 percent. The popular shows on the network, “Grey’s Anatomy and “Vampire diaries” ratings increased, in which was a shock to many viewers.

With these drops in ratings, will there still be hope for the next “Idol” in future seasons?
