Barbara Walters plans to retire next year. She is famous for her work in news and daytime TV which began more than a half a century ago. She is most known for her work with ABC News and now is hosting "The View." In 1967, she became the first woman to have a powerful role in television by becoming co-anchor of ABC’s evening broadcast with Harry Reasoner. She has been hospitalized since early this year after catching ill with the chickenpox and falling and hitting her head traumatically.

Two Atlantic City casinos are facing major legal problems. A man is suing the casino, Revel, for more than $75,000 from an escalator injury. The man says that his clothing became stuck in the escalator and broke his leg. He was hanging upside down 40 feet in the air. Also, at Resorts Casino Hotel, state officials are trying to recover $600,000 dollars in unpaid vacation wages for employees.
