Multiple sources are reporting that the 76ers are hoping Coach Doug Collins decides not to return for the 2013-14 season. Collins has one year remaining on his contract. Nevertheless, the 76ers do not intend to extend the contract. Collins commented that he is completely focused on winning remaining games this season and has no comment about next year.

Today, Philadelphia Firefighter Michael Goodwin is being memorialized and laid to rest. Captain Goodwin died battling a fire Saturday on Fabric Row in Queen Village. The funeral at St. Michaels Lutheran Church in Kensington was the beginning of a long procession to the cemetery with rolling road closures along the way.

A sinkhole has opened up in Ocean City, New Jersey. The 12 foot deep hole is in the intersection of Bay Avenue near 20th Street. It is not clear what caused the crater to open last night, however the Press of Atlantic City is reporting that work was being done on nearby water mains..

Tonight the Flyers host Ottawa.

Mix of sun and clouds. 66 in Center City.
