Back on March 30, a 49-year-old woman entered her home on the entered her home on the 1300 block of West Silver Street to find a man rummaging through her belongings. She was able to snap a picture of the surprised burglar with her cellphone before he ran off. The suspect is described as being black, 20- to 30-years-old, between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a gray T-shirt over a black shirt, camouflage pants , black sneakers and a rust-colored jacket. If you have any information call 215-686-TIPS (8477).

After a one year reprieve, a South Jersey high school will face closure at the end of this year. Sacred Heart High School, in Vineland, NJ will be shut down this June after being spared last year. The school was able to come up with enough money last year to get a reprieve from the Diocese of Camden, but it cannot sustain itself. The problem is with low enrollment. Only 168 students attend the school. 52 will graduate and only 23 new students were signed up to attend new fall. The school also has a large deficit. $1500 tuition discounts will be offered to students to attend one of 6 other high schools in the diocese. St. Joseph High, in Hammonton, is the closest to Sacred Heart High.

A Lehigh Valley man was killed last week while smoking a cigarette on a windy day outside an assisted living facility. 65-year-old Richard Clentimack died at the Lehigh Valley Burn Center on April 3. He had been flown there after sustaining burns to 70% of his body. Clementimack was smoking a cigarette outside the Hill Farm Estate in North Annville Township on a windy day when his clothes caught fire. His death has been rule accidental. Clementimack served in the Army in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart. He will be buried with full military honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
