Philadelphia's SWAT team converged on a man allegedly barricaded inside his home Sunday. After a road rage incident at 13th and Wallace where shots were exchanged with a private security guard, the man fled to a home on the 800 block of Reno Street pursued by the guard. SWAT took the security guard into custody at the scene and permitted evacuated residents to return to their homes when they discovered the home was empty. The other suspect is still at large. His companions fled in a silver Buick Century with Delaware plates after he was dropped off on Reno Street.

A newborn baby was left outside Sunday morning at the 2900 block of North Bonsall Street. At about 5:30 am police were called to the scene. A 19 year old Philadelphia woman had given birth and for some reason wrapped her infant in a sheet and left it outside in the yard. Police arrived after being notified by the infant's grandmother and transported the baby to St Christopher's hospital and is in good condition. No immediate charges have been found and police continue to investigate.

After two rocky starts, Roy Halladay earned his 200th career victory, pitching eight innings for the Phillies in a 2-1 win over the Miami Marlins. Halladay is the first pitcher to reach the 200 win milestone in a Phillies uniform since Steve Carlton in 1978. Halladay pitched 8 innings and allowed only 5 hits dropping his ERA from 14.73 to 7.63.
