A Pennsylvania woman presumed dead, has turned up alive in Florida. Brenda Heist (pictured 2002 and today) of Lititz disappeared eleven years ago leaving a husband and 2 children, 8 and 11 years old. In 2010 she was legally declared dead and her husband remarried. Now, she says she just snapped in 2002 and walked away, hitch-hiked to Florida, ate from dumpsters and slept under bridges. Heist is not facing charges in PA and will move to Texas to live with her parents.

Former mob boss Ralph Natale is now functionally blind and wants $10 million from the government because he blames them. In the late 90’s Natale got busted on drug charges and started testifying against wiseguys. Natale says that while he was helping the Feds, he was losing his eyesight and they did nothing to help him. The lawsuit comes as Natale reveals he also hopes to publish his memoirs.

Temple University has withdrawn its plan to build a new boat house on Kelly Drive near Strawberry Mansion bridge. Concerns raised by open-land preservationists are cited as the reason. The university had announced its plan in January to spend between $8 and $12 million on a new boat house for its rowing team.
