Authorities have identified the 12-year-old boy who, along with his mother, was found dead in a Trenton home; the site of a 37-hour long standoff with police over the weekend. The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office says Quavon Foster was killed a little less than two weeks before what would have been his 13th birthday. Police say 38-year-old Gerald Murphy killed the mother and son.
Still no word on a motive.

A 39-year-old man was hospitalized after a shooting in North Philadelphia Tuesday night. The incident happened on the 2400 block of Redner Street. Philadelphia Police say the victim was shot twice in the right leg by two men on bikes. The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital. He is listed in stable condition.

Tuesday was sentencing day for a former aide to Philadelphia city councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown. John McDaniel is now facing jail time; months after pleading guilty to stealing more than $100,000 from the councilwoman’s campaign. John McDaniel is now facing a year and a day in federal prison.
