The death over the weekend of the girlfriend of Philadelphia defense attorney, Charles Peruto is still being investigated however police have reported they did not observe any signs of trauma or injury. Julia Law was found floating face down in a bathtub in Peruto’s condo at 20th and Delancey. Julia Law, also an employee of Peruto would have turned 27 today.

Police in Montgomery County are investigating a fire that burned four cars at a church in Abington Township. Late Sunday night 2 cars were reported engulfed in flames and the fire spread to two more cars behind the New Life Presbyterian Church on Easton Road. The cars were part of the church’s program that helps repair them for people in need.

The crowds returned to the Jersey shore for Memorial Day weekend. South Jersey saw more activity than beaches to the North where there was more damage from Hurricane Sandy. Monday was a beach day, the best of the three day weekend. And with temperatures coming in the 80’s and 90’s later this week, many will be back.

Sports
The Phillies are in Boston with the Red Sox tonight.
