Galloway Drug Operation Busted, PA Tornado Watch, U.S. Open Practice Round All Wet

New Jersey State Police say two men are facing charges, including allegedly operating a drug manufacturing facility in Atlantic County. Rubin Sewell and Lavelle Davis, of Galloway, were arrested Friday morning in Galloway Township. Troopers from the New Jersey State Police Fugitive Unit working with the US Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force arrived at the unit block of Buck Drive to serve an arrest warrant on Sewell at his residence. During the arrest, detectives saw a white powder and rock substance located in the bathroom and bedroom of the residence, and a black handgun in the bedroom.

More heavy rain crossing the region today – and another chance for flooding later in the week. A Tornado Watch was also issued for Philadelphia along with most of southeast Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. The tornado watch is in effect until 10 p.m. The Flood Watch is in effect until 2 a.m. Tuesday for much of the region and we may see additional flood warnings on streams and creeks depending on where the heaviest cells develop. Later this week, on Thursday, theres a threat for more heavy rain, leading to a renewed flood threat and a very wet or even delayed start to the US Open tournament at Merion.

Fans dodged the raindrops at Merion Golf Club this morning to watch their favorite golfers take their practice rounds. In between downpours, fans walked the muddy trails to see golf at its best. Some fans are looking at the bright side, saying a little wet weather now may make the course more playable when the real competition begins on Thursday.

Tonight: Scattered thunderstorms. Low 69.
Tomorrow: Windy with scattered thunderstorms. High 81 in Center City.
