Former Villanova Forward, Bobcats player Dante Cunningham Arrested on Possesion Charges

Dante Cunningham was pulled over on Friday, April 29th on Lancaster Ave in Wayne after officers responded to a reckless driving complaint. They smelled marijuana and conducted a search of Cunningham's truck after receiving consent. The search turned up a small amount of a suspicious substance and a pellet gun (which is in violation of a local ordinance). He was arraigned and released on bail.

Cunningham had been traded to Charlotte from the Portland Trailblazers in February and showed decent production playing small forward with 9 points/game and 4 rebounds. He was to become a restricted free agent this off-season, and Bobcats owner Michael Jordan said they wanted to resign him before this had all happened.

One thing you don't want to do as a young player in a free agency situation is get caught reckless driving, smoking weed, with any sort of weapon, even if its a BB gun. Radnor isn't the township that is going to let things slide either, even if you were a star basketball player for Villanova.
