Sarah Murnaghan, the young lung transplant recipient whose parent's challenged the donor rules for children under 12, actually received a second transplant after her first had complications. A judge granted the Murnaghan family a temporary retraining order allowing Sarah on the adult donor list on June 5th. The 10-year-old who suffers from cystic fibrosis received a transplant on June 12th but because of a Primary Graft Failure those lungs had to be removed and Sarah was put on a bypass machine. Three days later she had the 2nd transplant, this time lungs infected with pneumonia that was removed. She is now recovering at CHOP awaiting her 11th birthday in August.

A New Jersey charity set up to help Superstorm Sandy victims was sued and ordered to shut down by New Jersey authorities. The Hurricane Sandy Relief Foundation and it's nearly $300,000 will be turned over to administrator ro distribute the funds and close down the operation. The current operators John Sandberg and Christina Terraccino were sued by the state for using donated funds for personal use and failing to properly register as a charity. They transferred $13,000 into personal accounts and used $8000 to pay off credit cards.
