Predator Website, Aggressive Driver Crackdown in PA, FBI Searching the Schuylkill River

Parents are being warned about a website where users chat anonymously with strangers. Parents of a Radnor 12 year old contacted police after their child was coaxed to send nude pictures online. The site is Omegle and randomly pairs users in one-on-one chat rooms. Police are trying to get the word out to parents that sites like Omegle are frequented by predators and may not be safe for young users.

Pennsylvania has decided to crack down on aggressive drivers on the 350 mile stretch of Route 30. The $2.5 million program called “HEAT on 30” is designed to have drivers slow down, back off and chill out. Aggressive driving includes honking, flipping the bird, and other road rage activity. It also includes speeding, tailgating, and giving too little space to cyclists and pedestrians.

What is the FBI searching for in the Schuylkill River? They won’t say. On Monday at about 9 am, a team of FBI agents descended on the river in the East Falls section with a boat, divers and land based agents. Divers worked the water all afternoon but did not bring anything to the surface. The FBI is back at the river again today.
