Delaware County Police are looking for a gunman who opened fire on a group of children last night. Three were wounded including an 11 year old girl and 10 year old boy. The incident happened last night at about 11:30 on Beverly Avenue in East Lansdowne. Witnesses say a man was hiding in nearby bushes and fired 8 or 9 shots at the group of kids crossing the street. No suspect or motive is known at this time.

A Southwest Philadelphia mother has been charged with the murder of her 4 year old daughter. Josephita Brown took her daughter, Seanita Brown to Children’s Hospital overnight Tuesday bleeding from both ears and with bruises on her body. She was determined to have died from a lacerated liver due to blunt force trauma. The mother is facing third degree murder and child endangerment charges.

The special committee on demolition practice in Philadelphia is expressing frustration with the Nutter administration’s limited cooperation in the investigation. The limited access appears to be tied to the grand jury investigation into the June 5th collapse at 22nd and Market that killed six people and injured 13 others.
