Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes kicked off the annual XPoNential Music Festival last night at Wiggins Park on the Camden Waterfront. In a nearly two-hour set, the folk band, who just released a new, self-titled album on Tuesday, were a surefire crowd pleaser, playing songs new and old.

The three-day festival brings in many folk, rock, world, and other artists of many different stripes and levels of notoriety. This Saturday, Upper Darby natives and rising stars, The Fleeting Ends, a pop-rock outfit who have released two records through Milkboy Studio will play the festival.

The Saturday Lineup also includes the relative newcomers Lord Huron, an indie pop/folk band, as well as familiar old standard Dr. John, and many others.

The Saturday and Sunday evening shows feature folk icon Bob Dylan, playing with Wilco and My Morning Jacket and Ryan Bingham, as well as Philly-bred Dr. Dog, playing with The Lumineers, Hey Marseilles and Polica.

The festival also features other rising acts such as Kopecky Family Band, Dawes, Lianne La Havas, and others.

Tickets can be purchased here or at the door.
