Kelly Drive River Car Crash, Trayvon Martin Care Package, PHL Rain Delays

A car drove off the Kelly Drive and into the Schuykill River Sunday night around 11 p.m. near Sedgley Drive. Two passengers were in the vehicle. One of them was removed from the car and taken to the hospital. The other passenger was still missing as of 11:45 p.m. Sunday. Officals are investigating the incident.

A group of Philadelphia mothers got together Sunday afternoon to work on a care package that will be sent to the mother of Trayvon Martin. The effort was put together by a local community activist, who wanted to send love and support to Sybrina Fulton. The group, God’s Blessing, tries to stay active in the local community, visiting families affected by violence to show them they are not alone, and that someone does care.

Sunday’s storm caused delays at Philadelphia International Airport as well as unexpected damage throughout parts of Southern New Jersey. The skies opened up Sunday and dumped more than seven inches of rain at PHL, causing power outages as well as flight delays. The biggest problem was a total blackout in Terminal A East. Flooding was also a nightmare for drivers. Route 42 was also closed from Philadelphia to South Jersey, with some people stuck in their cars for hours.
