Goats at Haverford College, Olga's and G-Boys on Condemned List, Rowhouse Explosion

Haverford College has brought in a herd of goats to clear some overgrown areas of the campus. 29 goats from Eco-Goats in Maryland started munching away at the weeds, vines and poison ivy on a 1.5 acre tract across from the duck pond on College Lane. The goats will eat up about a quarter acre a day.

Three neglected commercial properties in Evesham, New Jersey have been identified by the Township for possible condemnation under its new redevelopment plan. The properties include Olga’s Diner, Tri-Town Plaza and G-Boys Garden and Christmas Center. The township calls the vacant properties eyesores and want to clean it up.

The South Philadelphia rowhouse that exploded yesterday was being rehabbed by a recently created real estate investment firm. SCK Investments, LLC was formed in January, 2012 to buy, rehab and sell neglected properties. No one at the firm is commenting on the accident.

Sports
The Phillies host the San Francisco Giants tonight.

Weather
Mostly sunny today. 82 in Center City.
