After 16 hours, the strike at the Pennsylvania Convention Center is over. Labor unions at the Pennsylvania Convention Center staged a walkout Thursday. The carpenters' union notified the Convention Center of its intention to go on strike in the midst of contract negotiations. The carpenters' union is the largest at the Convention Center. Four of six unions joined today’s walkout; a fifth was honoring picket lines but was not on strike.

A hairless fox was seen twice within the last few weeks running through his Bensalem neighborhoods
Fish and Game think the fox may be suffering from “mange,” a skin disease caused by mites that cause the fur to fall out, which can be contagious for animals. Neighbors say foxes have come around before, but not like this.

Police say a 25-year-old man was killed in a shooting Thursday night in Chester. The incident was reported at the 1200 block of Thomas Street. Officers were dispatched to the location and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
