Twenty two embassies and consulates in the Middle East and North Africa are closed today and a worldwide travel alert is in effect for Americans. Nineteen embassies will remain closed through next weekend. According to the White House, there is a credible threat of an Al Qaeda strike against Americans. There are reports that suicide bombers have had explosives surgically implanted in their bodies.

The weather over the next few days in Philadelphia will be much more comfortable than the recent heat waves of Spring and early summer. Just before 6 am the temperature at the airport dropped to 62 degrees, the lowest since June 22nd. Temperatures will top out in the upper 70’s to low 80’s over the next few days.

In separate incidents last week, Upper Darby Police arrested parents for leaving their children unattended. Shawn Lamb was arrested after his 7 year old son was found wandering the streets in his underwear while Lamb had left for a recording studio. Another mom, Sophia Pinkey was arrested after leaving her 11 month old and 6 year old in an unlocked car at 69th Street while she went into the liquor store to buy vodka.

Sports
Domonic Brown could be back in the lineup this week when the Phillies take on the Cubs.

Weather
