Former Eagle Hugh Douglas threatened to beat up his ESPN colleague Michael Smith three times and lashed out at him with racial slurs while intoxicated at a bar in Orlando, according to reports by The Big Lead. Douglas was trying to get on stage with the dj and wanted his "Numbers Never Lie" co-star to help. When he did not, Douglas verbally abused him, calling him "Uncle Tom" and a "House Nigger" and Douglas threatened to attack Smith.

Vince Fumo got out of prison yesterday. The former state senator from Philadelphia was released from federal prison in Kentucky and reported to his halfway house on Erie Avenue where he is supposed to spend a few months. After only about an hour at the halfway house, Fumo left and went to his multi-million dollar mansion in Fairmount that was decorated with smiley face balloons.

The insurance company for the contractor involved in the fatal building collapse on Market Street is refusing coverage. Berkley Assurance Company claims the policy is invalid because Griffin Campbell misrepresented its history and the details of the demolition job. Berkley has filed a suit in Common Pleas Court against the contractor.
