A baseball fan died last night at the Phillies game with the Atlanta Braves. A man fell about 65 feet from the upper level to a parking area behind Turner Field, Atlanta police were called to the scene about 9 pm and transported the man to the hospital where he died of his injuries. There was no indication of foul play.

Police are searching for a 37 year old South Philly man they believe is the mastermind behind break-ins and attempted robberies at pharmacies and ATM’s. Dennis Woods, also known as Dennis Boyce of South Philadelphia and accomplices were caught on surveillance video using blowtorches to attempt to break into ATM’s.

It is still unclear whether Philadelphia schools will open on time this year, but Superintendent William R. Hite is urging principals, students, teachers and parents to prepare as if they are. The district has a $304 million deficit to cover and there is a possibility it will not come and delay the opening of schools.
