Main Line Carjackings, Murder Suicide in Juniata, Special Needs Students and Parents Legal Options

Police in Lower Merion and Radnor are working together on a couple of carjackings in their towns. Last week at the Beaumont Retirement Center in Bryn Mawr, a resident reported his car stolen at gunpoint. Then, Tuesday evening at the Villanova train station, a woman was forced out of her Porsche Cayenne while she waited for her husband.

Philadelphia Police are dealing with a gruesome scene in Juniata that has left a man and 10 year old boy dead and a woman in critical condition. Early this morning, about 1 am, it appears the 48 year old father, the gunman, shot his wife in the head twice, his son, then took his own life. The woman is in critical condition.

Parents of children with autism, physical disabilities and special needs are concerned that the cash strapped Philadelphia School District will not be able to adequately educate their kids. Yesterday parents met with the nonprofit Public Interest Law Center to review their legal options.
