Roy Halladay Pulled Early, Archdiocese New Foundation, Coatesville Text Scandal

Roy Halladay may have pitched his last game in a Phillies uniform last night. Halladay was pulled from the game in the first inning after throwing only 16 pitches. Sweating profusely, Halladay struggle to find the strike zone and his pitches topped out at 83 mph. Halladay said he’s been battling arm fatigue since surgery in May and also revealed a dietary illness that he has been struggling with.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced it will create an independent charitable foundation designed to reengage disaffected Catholics and boost giving. The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia is modeled after the Faith in the Future Foundation formed last year to help save and manage the archdiocesan high schools.

The Coatesville Area School District administrators involved in inappropriate text exchanges will learn their fate tonight. The school board will accept their resignation tonight or they will be fired. Text message were uncovered between Superintendent Richard Como and Atletic Director Jim Donato referring to black students and faculty using the n-word, and insulting and demeaning language to describe women, Jews, Hispanics and Middle Easterners.
