A private security guard hired to monitor Penn Wood High School’s Green Avenue campus has been arrested for stealing $15,000 in musical instruments from the school. 54-year-old Cory Thompson of Philadelphia turned himself in yesterday and was arraigned in Upper Darby court today. Last April, some one set fire to that school building. While the restoration work was being completed the district hired security to guard the buildings 24/7. Thirteen instruments were discovered missing from the music room in July. Thompson worked for the security firm that was hired to safeguard the high school building. He has been charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, burglary and conspiracy.

Autumn Pasquale's father has filed a lawsuit against the parent's of the teenage boy who killed his 12-year-old daughter. 16-year-old Justin Robinson is in prison serving a 17-year sentence for the murder of Pasquale a year ago in Clayton, NJ. The lawsuit claims that the parent's should have realized their son needed help. It says that their years of neglect and abuse were what caused Robinson's problems. Robinson admitted to strangling Pasquale in October 2012 while she was out riding her bike.

Three more people are now in custody in connection to the murder of a Rite Aid manager in Chester on September 19th. Police have arrested two males and one female. Their identities have not been released, but officials say they helped plan and carry out the murder. They were arrested today on the 3000 block of Wharton Street in the Grays Ferry section. They join David Wiggins, 24, and Rita Pultro, 23, who were previously arrested and face first, second and third degree homicide charges. The victim, Jason McClay of Broomall, was shot in his store at 9th and Highland streets during an attempted robbery. The investigation still continues.
