Parents of a North Penn elementary school child have been arrested for unlawfully entering a school bus and threatening children. Christina and Christopher Gring greeted the bus from North Wales elementary. Their son came off the bus in tears, saying he was being picked on. The angry parents barged onto the bus in a profanity laced tirade demanding answers from a busload of confused, frightened children. Christina Gring has been released, Christopher remained in custody with $10,000 bail.

Mayor Michael Nutter stopped to help an injured bicyclist who had been struck by a car a few minutes earlier on Martin Luther King Drive yesterday morning. Nutter and his staff called 911 and stayed with the 63 year old man who had been struck in a crosswalk and thrown into another vehicle. The man suffered a broken hip and two broken legs. Police say the driver of the car would not be charged.

Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend and we’ll go back to standard time on Sunday as days get shorter and darkness comes earlier. At 2 am Sunday we roll the clocks back an hour to 1 am making mornings brighter and evenings darker. The good news for Saturday night is that all can enjoy an extra hour sleep, or an extra hour of partying – your choice.

Tonight the 76ers are in Washington and the Flyers host the Capitals.
