A Philadelphia judge has blocked the firing of Bill Marimow as Editor-in-Chief of the Philadelphia Inquirer. The dispute settled in the courtroom by Judge Patricia McInerney made public the bitter brawl between wealthy newspaper co-owners George Norcross and Lewis Katz. Marimow, a Pulitzer Prize winning reporter, had the support of Katz. He was fired in early October by publisher Bob Hall over 'philosophical differences'. The co-owners pledged to stay out of the newsroom when the bought the newspaper.
