A New Jersey state police officer has been been arrested and charged with shoplifting in a Berk's County, PA sporting goods store. 35-year-old Trooper William A. Carvounis is accused of stealing $267 worth of gun supplies and other goods from a Cabela's store in Tilden Township. “During the course of his shopping, (Carvounis) would place items in his shopping basket. While walking around and continuing to shop, he would take various merchandise out of the package and conceal in his pockets…He would discard the empty packages on shelves throughout the store,” wrote Patrolman Dennis Schwoyer. Carvounis was also caught on video ripping the tag off a hat and wearing while he tried to leave the store. Once caught he tried to ask for professional courtesy, he did not want to lose his $140,000 a year job. He has since been suspended without pay from the New Jersey State Police. Carvounis was assigned to the executive protection unit and had worked as a member of Governor Chris Christie’s security detail.

Today's snow storm is moving out, but not after dropping as much as 9 inches of heavy wet snow in parts of the area. Around 400 flights were canceled at PHL, school were canceled for the day, and numerous delays in traffic and transit. We can't rest easy because the next storm is already on the radar. A Winter Storm Watch has already been issued for the northwest suburbs for Wed 1am-5pm. We can see a few inches of snow Tuesday night into Wednesday, then ice accumulations on Wednesday morning before it changes to all rain.

New Jersey State Police have identified an ATV rider that disappeared under the ice on a Burlington Quarry on Sunday. 25-year-old Philip Raimondo of Medford was riding his ATV near Route 70 in rural Woodland Township, Burlington County when he broke through an ice-covered waterway around 5:15pm. He was with a group at the quarry. Rescuers were not able to located him last night. A plan to send in divers today was canceled because of the winter storm. Search efforts will continue Tuesday morning.

Tonight,
Party Cloudy, Watch for refreezing. Temperatures falling into the 20's this evening in Center City
