Holy Family University 60th Anniversary, Burlington County Meth Lab, Star-Ledger Regrets Christie

It is a very special year for one of Philadelphia's premiere Catholic Universities. Holy Family University is celebrating its 60th Anniversary. In honor of this milestone, Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput received an honorary degree Sunday. It was presented by University President Francesca Onley, who is the longest serving university president in the Philadelphia Area.

Officials say they found a meth lab in a Burlington County, New Jersey home Sunday while responding to a morning fire. After entering, firefighters discovered the blaze started in a room containing a meth lab. Police say 29-year-old Mark Payne was arrested, then taken to the hospital, along with his girlfriend. He has been released and is facing charges.

New Jersey’s largest newspaper says it now regrets endorsing Republican Gov. Chris Christie for re-election. In a column posted Sunday on the Star-Ledger’s website, editorial page editor Tom Moran writes, “We blew this one” and refers to Christie as the “most overrated politician in the country.” Moran says the 2013 endorsement had been a close call, but Christie’s opponent just wasn’t up to the job.
