Six Days Without Power, Bridgegate Investigation, School Embezzlement Sentencing
  by: iradiotom - Philadelphia, PA

More snow last night just added sugar on top of the power outage problem. Almost 20,000 PECO customers are still without power, six days and counting. The snow and ice storm last week knocked almost half of PECO's customers off the power grid for some length of time. 715,000 of PECO's 1.6 million customers lost power.

A New Jersey legislative committee investigating the lane closure scandal on the George Washington Bridge is meeting today. Last week Governor Chris Christie’s associates were scheduled to turn over subpoenaed documents. Most have requested more time as Bridgegate appears to have no end in sight.

Sentencing happens today for the man who embezzled $88,000 from the Philadelphia charter school, Harabee Institute of Science and Technology. Masai Skief also ran the nonprofit Harambee Institute. Prosecutors are asking for a sentence of over three years claiming Skief continued to steal money from the school even after pleading guilty.

Tonight the 76ers are in Golden State to play the Warriors.

Partly cloudy. 28 in Center City.
