Former Phillies manager Jim Fregosi has died. Six days ago, Fregosi was on a Major League Baseball alumni cruise in the Cayman Islands when he suffered a stroke. Fregosi was taken to a hospital there then airlifted to a Miami hospital where he was removed from life support. Jim Fregosi led the 1993 Phillies from last place to a pennant and six games in the World Series. Jim Fregosi was 71

Yesterday's snowstorm dumped as much as 16 inches of snow on the Philadelphia region shattering another winter weather record. This is the first winter in record keeping history that Philadelphia has gotten 4 storms of 6 inches or more. As for total accumulations, this is now the third snowiest winter on record.

A medical report now disputes a claim by a teenager that his testicle was ruptured during an aggressive search by a female police officer. The DA has launched a grand jury probe into the incident and Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey says the severity of the injury being alleged to the media is inaccurate.
