PSEG Fire, Philadelphia Orchestra 40/40 Project, Camden Abduction Arrests Made

Crews responded to the scene of a fire in Burlington, NJ on Wednesday. According to PSEG, a small oil fire started at a building that is being demolished. It is not an active plant and has not been in operation for more than a decade. Shortly after 9 p.m., PSEG said the fire has subsided and crews remains on scene. There is no threat to the local area or river and air quality continues to be monitored and remains safe.

The Philadelphia Orchestra announced its 2014-2015 season Wednesday night. Music director Yannick Nezet-Seguin has named it the 40/40 Project. Forty pieces that have not been performed by the Orchestra here in Philadelphia in his lifetime, so the past 40 years, as Yannick turns 40 this year.

Authorities say two men have been arrested for allegedly attempting to abduct a woman, less than a block from Camden’s City Hall, by stuffing her into a trash can. Hasian Womack, 35, of Philadelphia, and Willie Dennis, 24, of Indiana, Pa., were arrested Wednesday morning in Pennsylvania. It happened Jan. 21 at 9:30 a.m. at the Zoujati Salon in the unit block of N. 6th Street in Camden. Police say Womack and Dennis, entered the salon, showed a female employee that they had a weapon, restrained her with plastic zip ties and duct tape and forced her into a trash can. Both suspects are being held in Pennsylvania awaiting extradition to New Jersey.
