Former Pennsylvania Governor and former Philadelphia Mayor Ed Rendell was at the Community College of Philadelphia Monday night to kick off the school's 15th annual Law and Society Week with a question and answer session with a couple dozen students, faculty members, and others. Law and Society Week covers a wide variety of topics such as the death penalty and cyber security, and will feature a number of guests at different events held at the school this week.

Upper Darby police are investigating the beating death of a 59 year-old man whose body was found Monday morning in his home. Police were called to the house early Monday by two of Michael Fanning’s coworkers at Haverford College, who were worried after he failed to show up for a painting job over the weekend. When police got inside, they found Fanning's bludgeoned body in bed. Chitwood says the dead man's car is missing, a silver 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis with a black ragtop with a Pennsylvania vanity plate reading “Ricter.”

The biggest cell phone show in the world is going on this week in Barcelona. Apple isn't there, but nearly every other mobile maker is. Samsung is among those unveiling new products. (Samsung’s JK Shin:) “The Samsung Galaxy S5.” Among the Galaxy’s features: longer battery life, a 16-megapixel camera, water-resistant, and goes on sale on April 11.
