We've certainly all had enough by now but winter still has three more weeks left yet. March is knocking on the door and it looks like a great big lion sitting on the doorstep. Saturday and Sunday should be seasonable with highs around 42, but another large winter storm will start to move into the area later Sunday. It could begin as rain or a mix before turning to all snow Sunday night through the day on Monday. The exact track will determine where snow/ice/rain lines set up and how much you'll get in your neighborhood. There will be a lot of moisture and cold air with this system so a large part of the area could see accumulations of 6-12” of snow, with lower amounts south and east.

The Philadelphia district attorney's office announced today that it was dismissing 17 more cases linked to a corrupt Philadelphia cop. Former officer Jeffrey Walker plead guilty to corruption and related crimes earlier this week. He was caught in a FBI sting last May planting drugs and stealing money. Since his indictment, the DA's office has been reviewing all cases involving the 23-year veteran. Cases where Walker played a significant role are being dismissed. Prosecutors cannot rely on anything Walker has testified. They are left not knowing whether the people are guilty or innocent. Some of those defendants are still in prison and are being released. There are some cases that Walker played a small role that won't be overturned because of the existence of corroborating evidence. So far 85 convictions have been overturned.

A New Jersey woman has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy and taking pictures of him and an 8-year-old girl engaged in a sex act. 23-year-old Rachael L. Baker from Winslow Township in Camden County plead guilty to the charges including aggravated sexual assault in September 2012. She admitted to engaging in sexual acts with the boy on three different occasions and to forcing the girl to perform a sex act on the boy while she photographed it. She must serve 8 ½ years before being eligible for parole.

Tonight,
Clear and cold, temperatures in the teens this evening in Center City.
