It's been a violent couple of days on the 900 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard in Trenton, New Jersey. At least two people were hit as gunfire erupted just after 4pm on Sunday. About 20 people were standing around a small memorial service for a shooting victim – a homicide that occurred just one day earlier on the same block. During the memorial service, someone opened fire, and at least two people were hit. One of the gunshot victims is in critical condition.

Songs, poems and chants could be heard from protesters on Independence Mall Sunday as they denounced the Russian invasion of Crimea. Standing with Ukrainian, Polish and American flags, dozens of demonstrators took over the mall, protesting what is going on in Ukraine. One of the protesters said their rally is the best way they can show support to their friends and family members who are in Ukraine.

William “Wild Bill” Guarnere, one of the World War II veterans whose exploits were dramatized in the TV miniseries “Band of Brothers,” has died at the age of 90. Guarnere’s son, William Guarnere Jr., confirmed Sunday that his father died at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Guarnere was rushed to the hospital early Saturday and died of a ruptured aneurysm early Saturday night.
