High Wind Causing Problems, Eagles Fans Sue, Bristol Township Car Vandalism

Today's reminder from Mother Nature that Winter is still with us is causing some problems on the roads and for the power companies. Winds are gusting to 40 miles per hour and bringing down trees and taking power lines with them. It's probably a good day to avoid the back road scenic route as numerous limbs large and small are reported down around the suburban areas.

A couple of Philadelphia Eagles season ticket holders have filed a suit against the stadium and security company over an incident last season. Gary and Margaretta Strain were climbing to their seats when they spotted someone wearing an Arizona Cardinals jersey. According to the suit Gary Strain “jokingly chanted ‘AAAAAAASSSSS-HOLE!” The Cardinals fan turned out to be an undercover cop. Strain and his wife were both injured as they were swarmed and forced to the ground by security.

Residents in Bristol Township are on high alert after someone vandalized about 40 cars there last weekend. The damage appeared to be from rocks thrown at cars, breaking windows and damaging exteriors. No thefts were reported even though some vehicles had expensive GPS and other items in clear view on dashboards.

Both Villanova and LaSalle in action today in their Conference Tournaments.

Windy this afternoon. 32 in Center City.
