US Airways Flight 1702 heading towards Fort Lauderdale from Philadelphia International Airport barely got off the ground before the captain aborted. During takeoff going down the runway, the plane just lift off the ground and slammed back down. A tire burst in the front landing gear, and the plane came to rest on it's nose. All 149 passengers and 5 crew were evacuated safely. This happened at 6:30 pm. The plane is an Airbus A320. Emergency crews are on scene.

The building on the northeast corner of 3rd and Market Streets in Old City, formerly known as “Shirt Corner,” partially collapsed this afternoon during a planned demolition. Crews were working to remove parts of the roof around 1pm when parts of the building collapsed, leaving debris out onto the street and a cloud of dust. Emergency crews responded but there were no injuries. The demolition crews had blocked off traffic onto 3rd street before the incident. Work has been ongoing for about a week on this project. The developer plans to build a CVS and apartments at the site.

Two people are dead and 23 are injured after a man fleeing police plowed through a crowd of music fans at the SXSW festival last night in Austin, TX. Rashad Charjuan Owens, 21, of Killeen, TX is being charged with 2 counts of capital murder and 23 counts of aggravated assault. Around 12:30 am, Owens attempted to avoid a DUI checkpoint and fled from an officer making a traffic stop at a gas station. After going the wrong way down a one street, he turned onto Red River Street which is home to many of the clubs. He broke through a police barricade blocking off the street from traffic and gunned it for two blocks through festival revelers. Owens crashed, took off on foot, but was apprehended after being tased. A man from the Netherlands riding a bicycle and an Austin woman on a moped were both killed. South By Southwest plans to continue it schedule of events.

Hecklers disrupted New Jersey Governor Chris Christie during a town hall meeting today in Burlington County. The meeting was held in Mount Laurel with about 525 in attendance. A total of 6 hecklers were escorted out of the meeting inside the Burlington County YMCA. They were screaming, yelling, and otherwise being disruptive during the public Q&A portion. Some of them identified themselves as Rowan University students.

Tonight
Clear skies, windy, temperatures in the upper 20's this evening in Center City.
