Road Rage Beating, SEPTA Strike Looming, More Ricin Found

A 65 year old victim of road rage is in the hospital after being followed home and attacked when he got out of his car. Robert Danchisko of Winslow Township, New Jersey called 911 to report an erratic driver. By the time police arrived, 19 year old William Jackson had left a beaten, bloody Danchisko on the lawn. Jackson was tracked and arrested. Danchisko is in Cooper Hospital in critical but stable condition.

SEPTA riders are facing the possibility the entire transit system could be shut down for the first time in its 50 year history. Later this year a federally mandated mediation for Regional Rail engineers ends, enabling them to strike. Bus drivers and subway operators are already working without a contract. And contracts with suburban divisions expire in April. If all decide to strike, the unions would shut down the entire system.

More ricin was found yesterday believed related to an attempted murder plot by 19 year old Nicholas Todd Helman of Bucks County, PA. Police arrested Helman after learning of his plan to kill his former girlfriend’s new boyfriend by putting the deadly chemical, ricin on a scratch and sniff birthday card. The additional stash of ricin was found hidden under a gas manhole cover in town.
