A fire early on Friday morning at a Jersey Shore motel has killed four people and injured eight others. The blaze broke out around 5:30 at the Mariner's Cove Motor Inn in Point Pleasant Beach. The motel was housing many people still displaced from Super Storm Sandy almost a year and a half ago. Many described waking up to a chaotic scene. Fire spread quickly through the wooden building. Some were left with no choice but to jump from the second floor. The four victims were all adult males but have not been identified to the public yet. All other residents have been accounted for. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

A Delaware man has been charged with a variety of crimes including solicitation, kidnapping and impersonating an officer after an encounter gone very bad in a massage parlor. 35-year-old Matthew Hudson of Laurel, Delaware, was arrested Thursday night. Hudson went to the Sunshine Spa on Coastal Highway in Rehoboth, DE at 10 pm Thursday for a massage. During the massage he asked the 44-year-old female masseuse to perform a sex act. When the woman refused, Hudson showed a badge claiming to be a FBI agent. The woman then tried to refund his money but an argument ensued where Hudson forcibly restrained her and a coworker. The two women were able to leave and flee in their car, but Hudson followed them. After a 9-1-1 was called, police used a description of Hudson's car to find him in the parking lot of the Midway Outlet Shopping Center. He has been charged with Kidnapping, Criminal Impersonation of a Police Officer, Unlawful Imprisonment, Assault, Criminal Solicitation, Offensive Touching, and Criminal Mischief.

Philadelphia Police have arrested a suspect in the stabbing of an off-duty officer and a second man on Thursday night outside a Washington Square bar. 39-year-old William Johnson, of the 400 Block of Morris Street, was taken into custody at 4:30 this afternoon. He was found sleeping in the bushes on the 1100 block of Pine Street. Last night, police say he approached a 49-year-old off-duty cop and a friend outside a bar on the 200 block of S. Camac Street around 11:30 pm. Johnson, also known in the neighborhood as Billy, persistently asked for money and cigarettes. The off-duty cop identified himself as an officer and told him to leave them alone. That's when Johnson attacked. The officer got stabbed twice in the torso, and once in legs. A bartender came to help and got stabbed in the chin. The officer at the hospital in stable condition. The bartender was treated and released. Johnson is facing assault and attempted murder charges.
