It's officially the end of another quarterback era in Philadelphia, Michael Vick is now a member of the New York Jets. The Jets released QB Mark Sanchez and signed Vick to a 1-year deal worth up to $5 million with the team on Friday. He'll be reunited with Marty Mornhinweg who was the Eagles offensive coordinator under Andy Reid. Vick joined the Eagles in 2009 as a free agent fresh off his sentence in federal prison for dog fighting. In 2010 he led the team to a playoff appearance. Injuries cut short many of his later seasons, including this past one where Nick Foles stepped up and shined. Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie thanked Vick for all he did. Vick thanked the fans of Philadelphia in a letter on philly.com.

Philadelphia police are investigating after three teenagers were stabbed in Northeast Philly on Friday night. It happened around 10:30 near Rowland and Oakmont Streets. Two victims, an 18-year-old and 19-year-old, were stabbed multiple times in the back and were taken to Aria Health Torresdale Campus. A 17-year-old victim with more severe stabs wounds to the head and back was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital. Police have several suspects in custody. It is still under investigation. If you have any information, please contact police.

UPDATE: Police apprehended six males and a 20-year-old woman from inside a home on the 3400 block of Lansing Street. The suspects face aggravated assault charges and related offenses.

Police in Bethleham arrested a woman Thursday after she left her 2-month-old daughter locked in her minivan while she was drinking in a bar. Police arrived at the Keystone Pub at 11:30pm for a call of a child in a car. 32-year-old Lisa Altif said that the van was hers, but claimed that she had only been there for 20 minutes. Her bar tab told a different story, saying she had drank 5 glasses of wine starting at 6:30pm, 5 hours earlier. The baby was buckled in a car seat that was strapped to the floor. She had to be taken to the hospital because her temperature had dropped from sitting out in the cold. Altif was charged with child endangerment, driving with a suspended license and related offenses. She remains in county prison.
