Philadelphia Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with the shooting of an 11-year-old boy last Sunday in North Philadelphia. They are still looking for the teen's older brother, 25-year-old Marcellus Temple. The 11-year-old was critically injured when the brothers fired over a dozen shots at the crowd. It happened at 4:00 pm on Sunday at the intersection of Gratz and Oxford streets. Apparently, the teen had been beaten up earlier in the day and came back to enact revenge.

An Atlantic City casino is suing a professional gambler, claiming he won $9.6 million in a cheating scheme. The Borgata filed the suit in federal court on Tuesday against Phillip Ivey Jr. The casino alleges that Ivey and a partner used a defect in the cards made by a Kansas City manufacturer. The technique called “edge sorting” allows a player to arrange “good cards” and gain an unfair advantage while playing Baccarat. This type of play is against New Jersey casino gambling regulations. Ivey is widely known for his play on the World Series of Poker.

An off-duty police officer was stabbed during a home invasion at her residence in the Kingsessing section of Philadelphia this afternoon. It happened just before 1 p.m. on the 1000 block of South 54th Street. A 30-year-old man broke into the rear dining room window, but the female traffic division officer was home at the time. She confronted the intruder and was stabbed on her right arm. The officer went to get her gun upstairs and the man left out the front door. He was apprehended nearby at 55th and Warrington. The officer was treated and released from University of Pennsylvania.

Tonight,
Cloudy, chance of shower and thunderstorm, temperatures falling through the 60's in Center City.
