Montgomery County authorities have filed charges against nine people in connection with the drug trafficking operation focused on distributing drugs to students at five high schools and three colleges on the Main Line. The "Main Line Take Over Project" was run by two former students of the prestigious Haverford School, Neil Scott and Timothy Brooks who would use sub-dealers at the schools to distribute marijuana, cocaine, hash oil and ecstasy.

Two people were injured last night in a car crash involving a SEPTA K-9 unit. The K-9 unit was on its way to a reported disturbance on a SEPTA bus. The accident occurred at Fifth Street and Lehigh Avenue with a passenger vehicle. The SEPTA officer and K-9 were not injured, but two passengers in the other vehicle were hurt.

Female students at West Chester University are on alert after three have reported being sexually assaulted over the last three weeks. Students and officials claim it is unusual but not alarming, saying seven sexual offenses were reported in all of 2012. Nationally, about one in five women is sexually assaulted while at college according to the Centers for Disease Control.
