A Chester County grandmother has been arrested and is facing endangering the welfare of children and drug charges. 56-year-old Pauline Bilinski-Munion of Modena babysits her grandchildren and is a also heroin user. On Friday, her 7-year-old grandson brought bags of heroin he found left out at her house to Caln Elementary School. The first-grader handed out the bags to at least one other student who brought it home. Parent's learned of the incident from a vague reverse emergency phone call on Friday night warning of a “dangerous and illegal” substance found at school and prompting parents to check their children. Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan critized the school's handling of the entire event. The school says they contacted the “Coatesville Area School District Police Department within minutes.” Bilinski-Munion is being held on $25,000 cash bail.

Officials from the City of Philadelphia, Tinicum Township, Delaware County, and Interboro School District announced today that they have reached a tentative agreement to move forward with a $6.4 billion expansion plan for the Philadelphia International Airport. The expansion plans have long been in dispute from Tinicum Township residents. This agreement eliminates a proposal to displace 300 residents from 72 homes. The overall goals of the plans are to increase competitiveness by reducing delays and adding capacity and services. The expansion includes a 1,500 ft runway extension, new Automated People Mover system, airport rehabilitation projects, and a consolidated rental car facility.

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed former Army ranger Alejandro Villanueva to a rookie free agent contract. Villanueva spent the last four years as an active member of the U.S. Army including three tours in Afghanistan. Now a 6-foot-9, 277-pound defensive lineman, Villanueva last played as a wide receiver for Army in 2009. The Army Captain has earned many honors including a Bronze Star Medal for Valor.
